Email services and instant messengers can be used to send files, but it is a different matter when it comes to large files. Services like the recently closed MegaUpload make it possible to send large amounts of data, but you have to pay if you want to send more than 1 GB of data. When it comes to sending large files, zeZebra provides one of the best solutions. It lets you send data to your contacts, without any kind of restrictions.

You will appreciate zeZebra from the beginning. The application and its services are absolutely free. There are no hidden restrictions, feeds or ads and the application does not come in different editions, like Free, Home or Pro. It is available for Windows and Mac OS X and its system requirements are quite modest.

The interface has an elegant and modern design, allowing you to work in a comfortable manner. The files you share and receive are displayed on separate tabs. You can share any files, regardless of size or format, by selecting them with a standard Open dialog. After selecting your files, the application will create a new entry on the Share tab and it will provide you with a download link. The link is copied automatically to the clipboard, so you can send it to your friends immediately.

The created entries are accompanied by options for deleting them or opening the folder where the shared files are located. Another option will reveal a good number of alternative sharing methods. You can send the link, using a Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail account. It is also possible to share your download link via Facebook or Outlook. Your friends must install zeZebra on their own computers if they want to receive your files. If the application is not installed, the received download link will take you to a web page, where you can see the files you are about to receive, as well as an option for downloading zeZebra. If you click a received download link, while the application is installed and running, it will start downloading the files immediately.

Once you exchange data with a friend, he or she will be added to a contacts list automatically. This is where zeZebra shines the most. The contacts list is located on the Share tab, next to the aforementioned entries. If you want to send your files, you can just drag and drop an entry over a contact. The software will not prompt you for anything and your friend will be able to start downloading your files with a single click. After receiving the files, an entry will be created in the Inbox. It is similar to the entries on the Share tab, but it displays additional options, for playing media files or forwarding them.
